EPEAT 2.0

EPEAT 2.0 sets a higher standard for sustainability and transparency across the electronics industry.

Building on two decades of credibility, it drives measurable impact by establishing strict requirements for both products and their manufacturers throughout the entire supply chain—not just at final assembly.

Currently applying to computers, displays, imaging equipment, mobile phones, servers, and televisions, the criteria cover the product's full lifecycle.

It focuses on four key impact areas: climate change, circularity, chemicals of concern, and responsible supply chains.

Ultimately, EPEAT 2.0 helps brands, purchasers, and policymakers move beyond basic ESG reporting to incentivize real, immediate action.

8.1.1 Equipment allows use of recycled content office paper

KYOCERA devices are compatible with general office paper made from 100%post- consumer recycled content as well as chlorine-free paper.

8.2.1 Take-back program for imaging equipment cartridges and containers

Guided by EPEAT standards, Kyocera minimizes its environmental footprint by following a strict waste hierarchy for all collected toner containers. The primary focus is always on resource conservation through container reuse and remanufacturing. If that is not possible, materials are diverted into high-grade recycling streams for new manufacturing lifecycles, leaving waste-to-energy recovery as a final resort for any non-recyclable components.
